Introduction
Hola Sober, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, is dedicated to creating a supportive, respectful, and secure environment for all members. This internal normative outlines the standards of behaviour, communication protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe, ethical, and effective online sobriety community.
1. Membership 1.1 Eligibility
· ● Membership is open to individuals seeking support in their sobriety journey.
· ● Members must be 18 years or older.
1.2 Registration
· ● Prospective members must complete the online registration form and agree to adhere to community guidelines.
· ● Members must provide accurate information during registration.
1.3 Membership Fees
● Membership to Hola Sober is free.
2. Code of Conduct
2.1 Respect and Courtesy
· ● Members must treat each other with respect and courtesy at all times.
· ● Discrimination, harassment, or abusive language based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
2.2 Confidentiality
· ● All information shared within the community is confidential and should not be disclosed outside the group.
· ● Recording or sharing meetings or personal conversations without explicit consent is strictly prohibited.
2.3 Supportive Environment
· ● Members are encouraged to offer support, encouragement, and understanding to each other.
· ● Negative or harmful behaviour, including but not limited to trolling or bullying, is not allowed.
· ● Constructive feedback should be given thoughtfully and respectfully.
2.4 Prohibited Activities
· ● Any form of solicitation or promotion of products and services is not allowed without prior approval.
· ● Sharing or promoting harmful behaviours, such as substance abuse or illegal activities, is strictly forbidden.
3. Meeting Protocols 3.1 Attendance
· ● Members should aim to attend meetings regularly to benefit from community support.
3.2 Participation
· ● Members should actively participate and share their experiences while respecting the turn-taking protocol. (you don’t have to share every time)
· ● Use of respectful language and consideration for others' perspectives is mandatory.
· ● Ensure a distraction-free environment during meetings to maintain focus and respect for speakers.
3.3 Recording Policy
· ● Recording meetings is strictly prohibited.
· ● Any member found recording will be subject to immediate removal from the community.
3.4 Meeting Schedule
· ● Meetings are scheduled at regular intervals and times will be communicated in advance via your weekly invitation sent on Saturday.
· ● Special Pop-Up meetings may be arranged as needed to address specific issues or events.
4. Communication
4.1 Online Communication Channels
· ● All official communication should occur through designated community platforms (e.g. email and in meetings).
· ● Personal information such as phone numbers or addresses should not be shared publicly.
4.2 Conflict Resolution
· ● Conflicts should be addressed privately and respectfully between the involved parties.
· ● If resolution is not possible, seek assistance from a community leader.
4.3 Language Policy
· ● Communication within the community should primarily be in English or other languages may be used if agreed upon by participants. (Spanish or French)
· ● Respect for linguistic diversity is essential, and derogatory comments about language use will not be tolerated.
4.4 Time Zone Consideration
● Given our headquarters in Madrid, Spain, all times for meetings and events will be communicated in EST (New York) and Ireland and Central European Time (CET). Members in different time zones should adjust accordingly using the widget at the end of your weekly invitation.
5. Leadership
5.1 Roles and Responsibilities
· ● Community leaders are responsible for maintaining order and enforcing community guidelines.
· ● Leaders should model respectful and supportive behaviour.
· ● Leaders will receive support from the leadership team to deal with members effectively.
5.2 Decision-Making
· ● Major decisions affecting the community will be made collectively, with input from members when appropriate.
· ● Transparent communication regarding decisions will be maintained.
· ● Periodic surveys and feedback sessions will be conducted to gather member opinions and suggestions.
6. Violation of Guidelines
6.1 Reporting Violations
· ● Members should report any violations of these guidelines to a leader.
· ● Reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly.
6.2 Consequences
· ● Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community, depending on the severity of the offense.
· ● Decisions regarding disciplinary actions are final and will be communicated to the involved parties.
· ● Repeated offenses may result in more severe consequences, including legal action if necessary.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Data Collection
